Women-only charity event seeks sponsors to benefit local families, CureSearch

MARIETTA, Ohio (Feb. 13, 2024)—The ninth BrAva Mom Prom, hosted by the Mid-Ohio Valley’s childhood cancer awareness and funding organization BrAva Fight, will take place Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Washington County Multipurpose Building in Marietta, Ohio. Tickets for the event go on sale on Eventbrite on Sunday, March 3, at 7 p.m. EST.

“BrAva Mom Prom is our largest fundraiser, and we truly appreciate the continued support of our community to help us support families dealing with childhood cancer,” said BrAva President Traci Nichols.

Tickets for the event, a charity fundraiser that seeks the support of women age 21 and over (moms and non-moms) to raise funds for childhood cancer, are $50. There will be a one-ticket-per-transaction limit. Attendees should be ready to enter first and last name, phone number, email, and age. Admission tickets will be the only ticket type for sale on March 3. Guests may purchase raffle tickets and luminaries beginning March 10.

The event will feature a deejay, a coronation honoring mothers whose children have battled childhood cancer, a raffle, and food and drink from local vendors.

The Gold Sponsor of BrAva Mom Prom 2024 is The Fraternal Order of Eagles 3665 of Beverly, Ohio, with a generous $15,000 donation. Other major sponsors for the 2024 BrAva Mom Prom so far include Amy’s Flower Shoppe, Astorg Auto, Commonwealth, Courtney Wentz Photography, Haas, Kesterson Cleaners & Launderers, Little Bee Photography, Lisa’s Sweet Stop, Marietta Brewing Company, Melissa Rose Photography, Premier Productions, Smith Concrete and the Valley List.

“We absolutely couldn’t throw this fundraiser without the support of these sponsors,” said Erin Roberts, BrAva vice president. “This year’s gold sponsorship from the Eagles in Beverly means so much to us because it will allow us to donate even more of the event proceeds to those who truly need it!”

BrAva is a nonprofit organization that seeks to help families affected by childhood cancer by providing funding and support. Since 2011, BrAva has given back more than $550,000 to local families and CureSearch, a national organization focused on childhood cancer treatment research.
